We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, generate reports, or communicate with us. This includes your name, email address, company name, license number, phone number, and the structural observation data submitted to our AI endpoints. We also automatically collect certain information when you use the Service, including your IP address, browser type, device fingerprint, and usage patterns.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: (a) provide, maintain, and improve the Service; (b) process transactions and send related information, including purchase confirmations and invoices; (c) send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages; (d) respond to your comments, questions, and requests; (e) monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with the Service; (f) detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions and other illegal activities; and (g) personalize and improve the Service and provide content and features that match your profile or interests.

3. Data Security & Encryption

Client privacy is critical in real estate. All report details, photographs, and generated PDFs are encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2+ and at rest using AES-256 encryption. We employ industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including regular security audits, access controls, and monitoring. We do not sell your client data, property addresses, or inspection findings to third parties. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. AI Data Processing

When you submit observations for report generation, your data is processed through third-party AI services (Google Gemini) to generate report content. This data is transmitted securely and is used solely for the purpose of generating your requested report. We do not use your inspection data to train AI models. The AI-generated content is stored in our database solely for your use and is not shared with other users or third parties.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate InspectDraft: Clerk for authentication, Supabase for database and storage, Stripe for payment processing, Resend for transactional emails, and Google Gemini for AI report generation. Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing the use of your information. We encourage you to review their respective policies.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. We retain your inspection reports and associated data for the duration of your account. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain information for legal or regulatory purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

7. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on our Service and hold certain information. Cookies are files with a small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. We use session cookies for authentication, preference cookies for user settings, and analytics cookies to understand how you use the Service. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent, however some features of our Service may not function properly without cookies.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including: the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data; the right to restrict or object to processing; the right to data portability; and the right to withdraw consent. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt-out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18 (“Children”). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.
